Instructions

  • Crack the eggs into a small mixing bowl and whisk together with a fork.
  • Melt the butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook until the vegetables are tender, then add the diced ham, green bell pepper, and onion to the skillet.
  • Pour in the beaten eggs and cook for about 1-2 minutes, or until the bottom is set.
  • Lift the edges of the omelette with a spatula and allow any uncooked egg to run underneath and cook.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over one half of the omelette when it's almost done.
  • Fold the other half of the omelette over the cheese with a spatula and cook until the cheese is melted and the eggs are fully cooked.
  • Place the omelette on a plate and serve immediately.
