This Croissant with Smoked Salmon and Poached Egg recipe makes a delicious breakfast. This croissant sandwich is flavorful and filling thanks to the combination of smoked salmon, poached eggs, and fresh dill.

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius).
  • Place the croissants on a baking sheet and cut them in half lengthwise.
  • Bake the croissants for 5-7 minutes, or until lightly toasted, in a preheated oven.
  • In the meantime, bring a large pot of water to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat to low and stir in the white vinegar.
  • Each egg should be cracked into a small bowl or ramekin.
  • Pour the eggs, one at a time, into the simmering water and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny.
  • With a slotted spoon, remove the poached eggs and place them on a paper towel to drain any excess water.
  • Season the poached eggs to taste with salt and black pepper.
  • Place 2 slices of smoked salmon on the bottom half of each croissant to assemble.
  • Sprinkle with fresh dill and top with a poached egg.
  • Serve the top half of each croissant on top of the eggs right away.
